Great Visit to Delaware, Ohio!

I had w wonderful visit to Delaware, Ohio where I spoke to students of Buckeye Valley High School, Dempsey Middle School, and Rutherford B. Hayes High School. I also spoke at the Delaware Public Library. Everyone was kind and generous. I hope they all enjoyed my presentations!

Holland Elementary!

I had a wonderful visit with the kids of Holland Elementary School in Bucks County Pennsylvania!
Great fun talking to the kids. Everyone was lovely. I can’t praise librarian Kristin Topley enough.
She was a warm and generous hostess and made the day perfect!

Ridge School

It was a wonderful, fun visit to Ridge School in Ridgewood, NJ.

The kids were fun and we had a terrific time!

Fairmeadow School

During my trip to Northern California, I also spoke with the students of Fairmeadow School in Palo Alto.

The school is nestled amidst the sprawling buildings and campuses of Google, Facebook, and other iconic giants of the digital age.

The kids were bright, engaged and great fun.

I hope I’ll be able to visit them and their impressive community again!

Daves Ave School

I made my first visit to the San Francisco/Northern California.

I spoke to the wonderful students of Daves Avenue School in Los Gatos.

The kids, my PTA hosts, and school administrators were as sunny and welcoming as the surroundings.

I hope I will be lucky enough to visit them and their fine community again in the future!

The school creates personalized plaques for visiting authors. Here’s the one they created for me, inspired by my book about the Gold Rush, “Gold! Gold from the American River!”

Staten Island Academy

Dublin Literacy Conference

I spoke at the Dublin Literacy Conference in Dublin, Ohio.

The conference is more than 25 years old. The participants and organizers were top notch and I had a great time. (Apart from a nightmarish trip there due to our never-ending winter travails.)

Marylee Hahn ran the conference this year. She was a terrific host and I’m thrilled she invited me.

I met Bryan Collier, his gracious nature matches his out sized talent.
