William Allen White Children’s Book Award

I received the exciting news that America Is Under Attack won the William Allen White Children’s Book Award for 2014.

The award was established  by Emporia State University in 1952 to honor the memory of one of Kansas’s most distinguished citizens. It is meant to encourage children to read and enjoy books. During the  awards celebration on October 3rd & 4th, schoolchildren from across the state of Kansas will travel to Emporia for special events including lock-ins, author readings and book signings along with a parade through downtown Emporia to the awards ceremony.

I couldn’t be more thrilled!
